I love chocolate and have tried almost all the chocolate from local makers and Creo is my favorite after all these years. I have gone to their chocolate tour twice and it is very informative and a lot of fun. You can to sample almost all the bars and make one of your own bar to bring home. If you're traveling to the area and want to try one chocolate place this should be it. Creo is also probably the only place you will find candy cap mushroom truffles. I also love their earl grey and Yuzu gimlet truffles, the sesame brittles, their original 73% bar and whiskey milk bar. Creo also used to make the best brownies but I think it went away during covid? The best attributes about this chocolate shop is the atmosphere, the service, and the free samples. However, the chocolate is extremely expensive. $3.50 for a single tiny piece of candy. Candy bars are between $10-15 apiece! I spent $19 on two small pieces of candy and one candy bar. Outrageous! The candy wasn't all that great anyway. No, I won't be back, but thanks for the samples. I love creo chocolate! Came across their chocolates at a Portland chocolate festival years ago. I love the broadway location. The person at the counter is so sweet and helpful, they provide samples, and their truffles are so good! My favorite truffles are the black lava sea salt and dulce de leche! They make the perfect gifts! Spent $120 for a “build a bar tour” for my kids and husband. This was a reward for my son who loves the Wonka book and movie. Walked in and the staff didn’t even look up, much less greet us. The two older staff members seemed annoyed that we had children signed up. We had two nine year-old boys and a four-year-old girl plus one parent. The lady was not happy that we had a four-year-old with us and made that very clear. All around unwelcoming atmosphere and staff and just a terrible experience. Highly recommend the Make-A-Bar Tour! They give out so many samples and it was pretty cool to be able to make your own chocolate and wrap it. While purchasing some of their chocolates after the tour, they provided us so many additional samples. While they have so many amazing flavors, I especially enjoyed the Spicy Mango bar, Black Lava Salted Caramels, and many of the other small truffles.
